One Sabbat at a time, The Wheel of the Year guides us back to nature. Discover how each turn of the Wheel can transform every season into a sacred time for celebrations and spiritual connections.
The Sabbats are eight seasonal pagan holidays that form what’s often called the Wheel of the Year, a sacred cycle of celebrations that follows the Earth’s natural rhythms, from spring’s first stirrings to winter’s quiet rest.
Rooted in ancient agrarian life, these festivals mark key points in the solar calendar. They include times of planting, growth, harvest, and stillness. Across various cultures and pantheons, including Celtic, Norse, Wiccan, and beyond, many of these themes appear again and again. While modern pagans celebrate them in diverse ways, the deeper patterns are tied to the timeless cycles of the planet.
Some Sabbats may feel familiar, especially where Christian holidays have woven in similar seasonal customs. But at their heart, these festivals offer a way to honor Earth and live in abundance with the turning of the seasons.
Whether you're exploring your first ritual or building traditions with your family, the Sabbats invite you to reconnect with nature’s sacred cycle, one celebration at a time.
